Features a combination blade and globe front sight, the Remington Arms Co. address, rear sight filler block, "38.72W" on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the matching numbered forearm which also has "SPECIAL" in pencil in the inlet, matching serial number and "38.72" under the forearm, long range sporting peep sight on the upper tang marked "B.G.I.C./BRIDGEPORT/CONN." and round knob pistol grip stock with checkering and the sporting buttplate.

Fine with 60% original case colors and 95% original blue finish, some light spotting, minor marks, light edge wear, a few slight flakes at the edge of the butt, hairline cracks in the toe section, and crisp checkering on the fine wood. Mechanically excellent.
