These pistols have Liege proofs on the left at the breeches, "crown/AF/558/2" on the bottom at the breech ends, engraving on most of the round actions with wire inlaid borders, smaller flourishes of engraving on the hammers and small parts, folding triggers, and checkered grips with carving at the top that matches the engraving and cap boxes on the butts. The attractive case has elaborate wood inlaid patterns and a French fitted interior holding the pistols, a ramrod, screwdriver, cap box, bullet mold, round powder flask, oiler, a few patches and balls, pick, spare nipple, and a key.

Very good with a dark blend of period refurbished blue finish and brown patina on the barrel, lighter gray patina on the action, crisp engraving, and spots of minor pitting. The grip is very good with crisp carving and checkering and minor marks. Mechanically fine.
