Casehardened domed butt cap with hinged trap cover and with white metal band engraved with running foliage above. Border and scroll engraving throughout. In original mahogany fitted case lined in green baize with accessories including brass mounted copper three way powder flask, turnscrew, nipple key, iron pincer bullet mold, and short brass loading and cleaning rod. The lid of the case with printed trade label of Lacy & Reynolds, London, the exterior with flush fitting brass carrying handle.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as period retailer refinished retaining virtually all its casehardened finish, some loss to blued finish on the trigger guard. The case has some minor age related marking and blemishes, the interior lining with some age related rubbing from the revolver and minor staining. Accessories generally in good condition. Mechanically excellent.
