Manufactured around 1770-1790 with a blade front sight with silver "X" base, "Blake" in script on the lock, possibly "Blake London" in script on top of the barrel, London proofs and a Blake hallmark on the upper left flat, horn forend cap, fancy pierced side plate, raised relief shell carving at the breech, checkered wrist, acorn finial trigger guard, and floral and border engraving.

Good with mottled brown and gray patina and extensive mild surface pitting. The barrel markings are partially faded. The refinished stock is also good with light dings and scratches and minor handling wear. Mechanically excellent.
