Description:

Carl Kauba (Vienna, Austria, 1865-1922). This solid cast bronze was supposedly earmarked for some monument inside or outside a massive building. The statue shows an American Indian in full ceremonial dress ready to shoot an arrow into the sky with destination unknown. The bow is bent as the Indian takes aim for his shot. The colorful quiver is at his side, and his animal headdress fits him comfortably with the tail of the animal flowing down his side. Truly a masterpiece sculpture of an Indian that was visualized by a great European sculptor. The solid bronze is signed on the bottom of the base. Dimensions: bronze- 83x44 inches base- 22x22 inches Weight: 728 lbs.

Rating Definition:

Very good with excellent color and minor storage wear.
