Offered here is a stunning piece of firearm art: A Pachmayr upgraded Winchester Model 21 skeet shotgun elaborately custom embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. Bee has signed his work on the left side of the receiver: "ABEE" along with his signature bee. The solid matte rib features dual bead sights and "CUSTOM BY PACHMAYR" in flush gold. The barrels are numbered to the gun, have ejectors and are embellished at the muzzles and breech. At the muzzles is a gold inlaid band and wedges of engraved scrollwork, and at the breech are wedges of engraved scrollwork accented with gold inlaid scrolls and game birds. The barrel flats have the Winchester factory oval proof. The receiver has added side plates, offering a wider canvas for Bee's unmatched artistry, in this case gold inlaid game bird scenes. The left side of the receiver captures the motions of a duck landing in a marsh, and the right side of the receiver captures the motions of a grouse landing in a field. A pack of quail are depicted on the underside, which also has "SKEET" in flush gold. The side plates also have a thin gold inlaid border. The scrollwork extends to the break lever and sculpted trigger guard. Additional gold inlaid quail are found on the trigger guard. The upper tang has a floral engraved border and the serial number in flush gold. The action has a single selective trigger with left and right ("L" and "R") barrel position markers in gold and a tang manual safety with "SAFE" in gold. The water table is jeweled and has a Winchester factory oval proof and the three-line Winchester model/address marking. The scroll engraved forearm hardware is numbered to the gun and jeweled. The highly figured forearm and pistol grip stock feature fine fleur-de-lis checkering and a solid Pachmayr recoil pad. Similar works are documented in John Lachuk's "Frank A. Exceptionally fine as embellished by Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The barrels retain 99% plus of the blue finish with minimal handling marks. The remaining coin finished surfaces have a few areas of brown corrosion discoloration. The engraving is sharp. The wood shows only the slightest handling marks, rich color and crisp checkering. The grip cap inlay has been removed. Mechanically excellent. A truly stunning custom Model 21 from one of America's greatest modern gunsmiths.
