With blacked chopperlump barrels respectively signed "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" and "33 BRUTON STREET LONDON" and engraved with a band of foliage at each breech. Concave rib with bead front sight, signed "THE CAVALIER" and engraved with a small spray of scrollwork at the breech end. Border and scroll engraved case hardened scallop backed action with gold inlaid "HOLLAND & HOLLAND" on each side, automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE", blued top lever and blued floor plate, this last with gold inlaid "THE CAVALIER". Blued border and scroll engraved rolled edge trigger guard. Well figured 15 1/2 inch stock including 1 inch leather covered recoil pad, and with checkered grip and forearm. The underside of the butt is inset with a gold escutcheon engraved with the initials "R.E.P.". Weight: 6 lbs. 9 oz., Birmingham nitro proofmarks (1989), 2 3/4 inch chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, barrel dimensions: right proved at .728, measuring .727, minimum wall thickness 31; left proved at .728, measuring .726, minimum wall thickness 32.

In little used condition. Barrels retaining nearly all their original finish with some storage marking and a patch of surface discoloration. Signatures and engraving crisp. Action retaining nearly all its original casehardened finish with some scattered storage marks. Engraving crisp and gold inlay in very good condition. Blued finish to the top lever fading to a plum color. Some handling wear to the blued finish on the trigger guard. Stock with very minor storage blemishes, some wear and loss of color to the leather covering on the recoil pad. Barrels slightly loose on action. Mechanically fine.
