Manufactured in 1952 as the last Officer's Model Target Revolvers built by Colt. The accompanying factory letter states that this "revolver was a sample and display revolver kept by the Colt factory c. 1952 at end of production" and it was released from the factory in 2008. The letter also lists this revolver with a 6 inch heavyweight barrel in .38 Special, blue finish, micro target sights and without grips (currently fitted with checkered Colt medallion walnut grips). Comes with Officer's Model Match "wood grain" box, "Notice to Gunsmiths" leaflet, warranty card and "Handling the Handgun" pamphlet.

Very fine. The revolver retains 97% plus original blue finish showing slight loss at the muzzle and some minor handling marks. The revarnished grips are also very fine with limited light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The replacement box is very good showing some minor-moderate wear, some repairs and some edge separation.
