Constructed from fine clear crystal glass, the ashtray measures 7 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches tall with a silver rim marked "(crescent moon)(crown)830S(lion)/65" next to one of the two cigar rests. Engraved in block lettering on one side of the rim is "DIE ADJUTANTUR DER WEHRMACHT/BIEM FUHRER UND REICHSKANZLER./19.10.1938" (The Adjutants of the Armed Forces to the Leader and Imperial Chancellor [Hitler]), and the other side shows a set of four engraved signatures: "Schmundt" (Rudolph Schmundt, Chief Adjutant, later Chief of the Heer Personnel Department, killed in the July 20 Bombing), "Albrecht" (Alwin-Broder Albrecht, Kriegsmarine Adjutant 1938-1939, later NSKK Adjutant after being driven out of the Navy for marrying a retired prostitute, died in the Fuhrerbunker), "v. Below" (Nicolaus von Below, Luftwaffe Adjutant 1937-1945, witness to Hitler's Last Will and Testament, survived the war) and "Engel" (Gerhard Michael Engel, Heer Adjutant 1938-1943, volunteered for the Eastern Front, survived the war).

Rating Definition:

Very good. The silver has been lightly cleaned and has an aged patina in the protected areas and a few mild dings and scuffs. Some light scuffs and tiny chips are present on the glass.
