Manufactured in 1935. Fixed sights, with the "G" date code on the chamber and the "S/42" Mauser code on the toggle link. A series of "stick wing eagle" firing proofs are present on the barrel, extension and breechblock, with "GELADEN" and "GESICHERT" markings on the extractor and upper safety position, straw finished small parts, checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with alloy base. The front strap is marked with an eagle over "M/1164/N", and the magazine base "N/1532/X"; the "eagle/M" is a traditional acceptance mark of the German Navy (in transition from the Reichsmarine to the Kriegsmarine in 1935), and "N" associated with weapons distributed to armories on the North Sea.

Fine with 70% of the blue, showing a brown patina on the grip straps and barrel, edge wear, handling marks and mild spotting. The side plate has had some cold blue touch up applied. The grips are also fine, with some scattered dents and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
