In the aftermath of World War I Simson & Co. became the sole official provider of Luger pistols to the Reichswehr, the 100,000 man army allowed under the Versailles Treaty. Fixed blade and notch sights with the Simson legend on the front toggle, military style serial numbering with the full number on front of frame, underside of barrel, and left side of barrel extension, partial serial number "30" on the various small parts, and Simson "eagle/6" and "eagle" proofs on the right side of the barrel extension and assorted small parts. Checkered grips with matching serial number and proofs on the back sides, and blue World War II replacement magazine with aluminum base.

Fine. 60% plus original blue finish remains with areas of edge wear, small nicks and scratches, and a mostly gray/brown patina on the grip straps. 50% of the original straw colors remain. The grips are also fine with numerous small dings, and well defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
