Manufactured in 1943. Blade and flat top notch sights, the "USS" monogram and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A." on the left side of the slide, "M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY" on the right, a Robert Downie "RCD" inspected frame with Augusta Arsenal "AA" stamp, a thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing, reinforced Keyes Fiber grips ("21" on right, "19" on left), "R" marked full blue magazine and a High Standard barrel.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with 60% of the finish (dulite on the slide, parkerized on the frame), showing some bright spots and edge wear, fading on the grip straps, a few areas of spotting, minor takedown lines, and scattered light handling marks. The grips are fine, with some dings and flat spots. Mechanically excellent.
