Description:

Manufactured in January of 1942. Blade front (with original protective cap) and adjustable peep rear sights, with a Springfield "S-A 1-1-41" barrel with small London nitro and tonnage proofs on the chamber. Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety and operating rod. Smooth pistol grip stock with boxed "SA/GHS" and "crossed cannons" cartouches on the left side, circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, and "975" stamped on the left side of the butt with a checkered trapdoor buttplate. The rifle is in the correct serial number range for Lend Lease Act rifles supplied to the British in the early years of the war.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 97% plus original parkerized finish remains with some edge and high point wear and surface scratches. The wood is fine as sanded and refinished with legible though light markings and small dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
