Description:

Manufactured in June of 1945, during the brief window between declaration of Victory in Europe (May 8) and Victory over Japan(August 15). Blade front and locking drum equipped adjustable peep rear sights, with a proper Springfield "1-S-A-6-45" barrel, Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety, and operating rod. The smooth pistol grip stock bears "S.A./N.F.R." and "Ordnance cannon" cartouches on the left side, with a serifed circled "P" on the wrist and a checkered buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% of the original parkerized finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright cycling wear on the receiver and bolt, edge wear and mild handling marks. The stock is also very fine with scuffs and dents overall. Mechanically excellent.
