Standard markings on the receiver with "eagle head" and "flaming bomb" proofs on the left receiver rail. The top of the bolt is stamped with a single "flaming bomb" and a Remington "R" mark is on the bottom. Smooth pistol grip stock with grasping grooves, "eagle head/300" proof on the wrist, and a small oval metal plaque near the heel marked (in enamel paint "28" (inventory or rack number). With leather sling.

Very fine. 85% plus original blue finish remains with areas of mild high point and edge wear, trigger guard assembly thinning to a mild brown patina, and scattered surface scratches. The wood is also very fine with small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent.
