Manufactured in 1943, falling into a serial number block identified to Colt. Blade and flat top notch sights, with the standard slide markings, "FJA" inspected frame, stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer, long grip safety, serrated slide catch, checkered thumb safety and arched mainspring housing, Keyes Fiber grips, "L" marked full blue magazine and a replacement "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel. The slide serrations are a bit rough and deep, with the barrel markings partially running off the edge.

Very fine, with 80% of the original Du-lite finish, showing a mixed brown and gray patina concentrated on the grip straps, bright edge wear, takedown lines, and scattered handling marks. The grips are very good, with some dings. Mechanically excellent.
