Description:

The Model 1819 Hall was the first widely issued military breech loading firearm and the first firearm manufactured with totally interchangeable parts. This one is dated "1834" and has been converted to percussion. It otherwise has the standard markings and features.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished/converted to percussion with a coarse brown patina and light pitting mixed with applied brown lacquer, strong case colors on the sides of the breech block, scattered small dents in the stock, paint or residue of some sort along the top of the comb, and scattered scratches and marks. Mechanically fine.
