Produced with fixed sights on the stainless steel slide, marked "COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL" on the right and "COLT MK IV/ -SERIES 80-" on the left, and blue frame unmarked except for the serial number. A section has been cleanly removed from the right grip panel, possibly for use as a cutaway demonstrator, and some components (including the trigger and transfer bar) are absent. With a factory letter describing the pistol as a prototype retained by the factory.

Very good, with mild scratches and wear on the slide, and 95% of the original blue finish on the frame, with edge wear and handling marks. Grips are good as repaired, with a mended chip on the left panel. Mechanically untested.
