Description:

Standard early production markings and features, including the distinctive brass forend cap and long range rear sight. After 1859, the Model 1855 rifle-muskets had the same style sights found on the Model 1861s and had iron caps and patch boxes.

Rating Definition:

Very good with mostly bright iron surfaces, some minor spotting, light scratches, and minor marks. The fine re-oiled stock has some splotches, scattered minor scratches and dents, and a few slight chips. Mechanically excellent.
