The narrow 30 inch blade is etched with floral and patriotic designs including "U.S. Medical Staff" on the obverse and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the reverse. The hilt has floral and eagle designs, and "MS" in Gothic script in silver is on the obverse langet. The brass scabbard has geometric designs.

Very good with crisp etching, attractive aged patina on the brass and silver, light gray patina on the blade, and mild storage wear.
