"1863" dated lock, "1866" dated breech, standard markings and features.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 90% deep black oil quenched casehardened finish on the breech, 30% of the quenched case colors visible on the lock, minor oil stains and sights of light pitting on the cleaned bright surfaces, and scattered minor marks, scratches, and small dents in the otherwise very fine wood. Mechanically excellent.
