Description:

Produced in 1937. Fixed sights, with the one-line block letter Hartford address on top of the barrel and "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL" stamped on the left side. The left side of the smokeless powder frame is marked with the two-line, three patent markings, assembly number "538". "85" on the rear cylinder face, and matching numbers on the frame and grip straps. Checkered grips, with Rampant Colt imprints.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% of the original blue finish overall. Some minor edge wear is visible, along with light scratches and handling marks. Bright and vivid case colors are visible on the frame and loading gate. Strong niter blue on the trigger. Grips are excellent, with some light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
