Manufactured in 1907. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 4 3/4 inch barrel in .44-40 caliber, blue finish, and type of stocks not listed with shipped to Krakauer, Zork & Moye Co. of El Paso, Texas, on June 7, 1907, as part of a 12 gun shipment, and was later returned to the factory and reshipped to Strevell Paterson Hardware Co. in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 27, 1908. An included photocopy of Microfiche records for Krakauer, Zork & Moye available at the University of Texas indicates that this revolver was transferred to Santa Rita on October 17, 1912. The Santa Rita copper mine, aka Chino Mine, is located in neighboring New Mexico, east of Silver City, and is still in operation. Standard markings including "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel and matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

Rating Definition:

Fair. The revolver has a mixture of smooth brown and gray patina with period refinished blue overall. There is some scattered minor pitting. The well worn grips are also fair with initial carvings on the bottom. Mechanically excellent.
