Manufactured in 1900. The top barrel flat is marked with the two-line address ahead of the rear sight and "45-90 W.C.F." at the breech. The 1884 and 1885 patent dates are marked on the lower tang directly behind the trigger, and the serial number is at the end. The takedown lever has the 1893 patent date marking. It is fitted with a German silver blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and Vernier tang sight graduated from 0-75 on the left side. The hammer, lever and buttplate are casehardened, leaving the remaining surfaces blue. Mounted on a nicely figured smooth straight grip walnut stock fitted with a crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The rifle retains 70% original high polish blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina most prevalent on the receiver. The hammer, lever and buttplate retain 60% original vivid case colors. 25% of original niter blue finish remain on the loading gate. The lightly sanded and reoiled wood is fine with a few hairline cracks located near the buttplate (both sides) and rear of the frame (right side), otherwise a few scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
