Only around 2,200 Colt Model 1861 Navy revolvers were manufactured or converted for metallic cartridges. This one is numbered towards the beginning of the separate conversion range. It has mostly standard markings and features, including matching visible serial numbers and grip, but it is also marked "1N" below the serial number on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap.

Very fine overall with 95% period retailer nickel plating, most of the niter blue on the screws, minor nicks and scratches, and some nicks at the lower edges of the very fine grip. Mechanically excellent.
