Manufactured in circa 1890 and with Belgian black powder proofmarks. The browned damascus barrels have a raised concave rib bearing a bead front sight. Gray casehardened action with permanently attached forearm and Lefaucheux type rotary underlever. Gray casehardened back-action side locks respectively signed "HENNEN" and "Á ANVERS" (Antwerp) in gold, scrolled trigger guard, trigger plate and butt plate. The action, locks and mounts all chiseled in low relief with scrolling foliage against a matte punched ground. Highly figured burr 14 inch stock, the grip, forearm and underlever grip all carved in low relief with bold scrolling foliage en suite with the metal parts.

Very fine. Barrels retaining much original browned finish, some rubbing at muzzles and breeches and some scattered blemishes. The action, locks and mounts retaining much original gray casehardened finish with crisp, detailed and sharp chiseled ornament with some scattered discoloration and some rubbing to the high points of the ornament. The left hammer with soldered repair. Stock is cracked at the wrist and has numerous storage and handling marking, the carved ornament is clear with some rubbing to high points. Underside of the butt tapped for a rear sling mount that is missing. Overall a very impressive looking pinfire hammergun.
