Description:

Factory records indicate this revolver was shipped on November 1, 1892, to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis, MO. The delicate fine scroll engraving in the style attributed to Master Engraver Eugene Young, son of Gustave Young. The engraving consists of scrollwork on a punch dot background on the sides of the frame; vines and berries on the sides of the barrel and accents of scrollwork throughout. The rib has the two-line address/patent dates marking. The cylinder and barrel are numbered to the gun. Fitted with smooth pearl grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains nearly 95% original mellow nickel finish with minor flaking on the balance. The trigger guard retains much original blue finish with a small area of flaked old corrosion, and the trigger retains moderate original case colors. The grips are very fine with a tiny missing surface chip near the top (left panel). Mechanically excellent.
