Manufactured in 1950 as part of a limited production run built by Colt from 1949 to 1952. Ramped pinned blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights, standard markings, matching numbers on the yoke and crane and plastic "Coltwood" grips. Comes with an unnumbered Officer's Model Special faux leather Colt box, shipping carton, "Colt Handbook," period Colt brochure and "Handling the Handgun." The exterior sleeve is renumbered to match pistol.

Excellent plus. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish with a few minor handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are excellent with a nick near the bottom (right panel) and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is exceptionally fine showing limited wear.
