The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 6 inch barrel in .22 caliber, blue finish and type of stocks not listed when the revolver was shipped on loan account to Bob Horton in New Haven, Connecticut, on August 12, 1939. Since leaving the factory, the revolver has received factory upgrades such as a fluted barrel, recessed cylinder and competition hammer. Fitted with target sights and checkered Rampant Colt medallion grips with spacers.

Very fine as period upgraded. The revolver retains 90% of the blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grips are excellent with a few very scattered nicks in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Definitely an unusual Officer's .22 Target Model for even the Colt DA collector who seems to have it all.
