Manufactured in 1949. Standard markings, elevation adjustable blade front and windage adjustable square notch rear sights, matching numbers on the yoke and crane and fitted with Coltwood grips. Comes with an unnumbered faux leather Colt Officer's Model Target .38 box and "Shooting Suggestions" and "Handling the Handgun" pamphlets.

Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original blue finish showing very slight loss at the muzzle and a few minor scratches. There is a small patch of very light semi-circular "shadow" visible on the right side of the frame (writer believes this to have been caused by once installed target style grips). The correct replacement grips are also excellent with a couple minor nicks along the bottom edge (right panel) and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with split lid corners, some speckling of paint and some moderate wear.
