Manufactured in 1935. While not documented, the nickel finish on the firearm appears original. Fixed sights with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Super 38 legend and Rampant Colt on the right, and a matching serial number beneath the firing pin stop plate. The frame is marked "60" and "X/VP" on the trigger guard, with a short milled trigger, long grip safety, checkered wide hammer, slide stop, thumb safety and arched mainspring housing, and a "SUPER 38 AUTO" marked barrel. The grips are smooth pearl, and the later production replacement Colt Super 38 magazine is two-toned, nickel other than a gold wash at the bottom.

Very fine, with 80% of the original finish, showing flaking and heavy dark pitting concentrated around and under the grips and in the slide serrations, with some rubbing and flaking around the edges and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with a few light scratches. Mechanically excellent.
