The factory letter lists this revolver as part of a two gun shipment to Munson Sporting Goods Company in Costa Mesa, California, on March 27, 1978, with a 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish (blue/casehardened), and "Class 'C' standard American style scroll engraving". The engraver's name and the grip type are not listed. It has the standard markings and features, the noted engraving, "COLT ENG" on the left side of the front strap, and aftermarket AJAX grips with gold Colt medallions.

Excellent with 98% plus original blue and casehardened finish, minor oxidation on the sides of the hammer, a few specs of light oxidation elsewhere, very faint cylinder drag lines, and general minor handling and storage type marks. The grips are very good with some minor handling wear and some pink staining on the toe. Mechanically excellent.
