Description:

This is a very unique example of a WWII type British STEN style machine gun (configured as a pistol) as manufactured by the York Arms Company of Hurricane UT. This example was manufactured using some original WWII British STEN components along with a new shortened receiver tube. The overall length of the receiver is approximately 8 1/4 inches with a short 3 1/4 inch barrel. The barrel shroud, perforated barrel nut, bolt and recoil spring have also been shortened accordingly. A longer/heavier pistol grip has also been welded to the underside of the trigger housing, just behind the original trigger guard, which provides a suitable grip to hold on to during firing, as this weapon does not come with any stock. The underside of the magazine well was originally numbered "FQ 24383" and so the receiver tube was also numbered (FQ 24383) to match when it was registered. The barrel is stamped "YAC ARMS CO/HURRICANE UT". With original 20 round stick magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as refurbished/modified with 80% of the current green painted exterior finish showing light wear and paint loss on the sides. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
