Description:

The barrel is dated "6-56" with standard targeting and acceptance marks. The exposed left side of the barrel forward of the handguard is correctly stamped with the "NM" marking. The operating rod is the standard GI style. Post war stamped trigger guard, Springfield trigger group, safety and hammer. The front sight base, rear sight protectors, and rear sight staff are all "NM" marked. The finish is standard post-war gray/green GI parkerized. Fitted with a walnut "C" type pistol grip stock with a circled "P" inspection mark on the underside of the grip and the eagle and stars ordnance acceptance mark on the left side above the trigger. Non-factory custom trigger shoe has been installed.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 97% original gray parkerized finish remains with some light edge wear, and handling marks overall. The stock is very fine with reoiled finish, and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
