This is a fine example of a U.S. Army contract Colt Model 1911A1 pistol manufactured in 1941. These Sears inspected Colt 1911A1's were produced in the serial number range of 723000-750300. The frame is stamped with a boxed "R.S." inspection marking of Col. Robert Sears. Matching serial number under the firing pin stop. Fitted with a replacement parkerized barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left side with a "P" proof on the lug, wide checkered blue hammer, solid checkered trigger, and checkered arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Checkered Coltrock grips with mold numbers, and no reinforcing ribs. Includes a two-tone blue magazine stamped "B" on the lip.

Very fine. 90% plus arsenal refurbished parkerized finish remains with areas of edge wear, small scuffs, and surface scratches. The replacement barrel has been refinished. The grips are also very fine with some small dings and light wear on the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
