Manufactured by Remington for the United States Army and later overhauled at the Rock Island Arsenal. The sights are properly absent from the barrel and receiver, with "R A/bomb/12-43" on the barrel and the receiver bearing the properly offset "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" marking on the left side of the receiver ring. The bolt shows "R" markings, with the correct profile bolt handle to clear the scope. A full length parkerized Redfield scope base is installed, with a Weaver Model 330 scope installed in a set of twist-off rings. Smooth double bolt pistol grip stock with a double stamped circled "P" behind the trigger guard, "X" in the magazine lever cut, and "RIA/EB" on the left side of the buttstock, with a flat checkered buttplate. Also included is a brown leather case marked "DIAMOND "O"/A.C.D." on the back, a 1917 pattern musket rule, and an unmarked multi-function screwdriver/wrench.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished showing 98% plus parkerized finish with some light wear and handling marks overall. The arsenal refurbished stock is fine with extensive sanding and scratches. The fine case shows some cracking and scuffing. The exterior of the scope is excellent with 99% blue, optics are a bit hazy but generally very fine with solid crosshairs. Mechanically excellent.
