This is a late production 1903A4 sniper rifle that was manufactured in early 1944. It is fitted with an original Weaver M73B1 sniper scope with the late plastic, lens caps. The barrel is marked "R.A./flaming bomb/1-44" and correctly lacks the front sight. The receiver is stamped with: "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3" on the left side and the serial number on the right. The rifle has the correct 1903A4 sniper rifle bolt with the "R" mark on the underside of the bolt handle along with the correct other blued components except for the replaced arsenal parkerized firing pin striker. It is fitted with a Redfield marked scope base that is fitted with a set of shims in the front with the staked screws on top. It has an original blued, Weaver M73B1 2.5x rifle scope. The nomenclature plate is stamped: "Telescope M73B1" over the four-line Weaver address information and it is electric pencil etched on the side of the tube: "Serial No. 25195". The rifle is fitted with the correct stamped style trigger guard and barrel bands. The rifle is fitted with a late war scant grip wartime walnut stock, that is lightly restamped with a "RA/cross-cannon ordnance proof/FJA" on the left side with the very light subinspector stamps in front of the trigger guard, with a small circles "P" proof in the pistol grip area. It comes with a WWII, Boyt/44 stamped leather sling, and the noted black plastic rear lens cap.

Very fine with 98% of the late green parkerized finish overall with only minor edge wear with the blued finish on the other components. The reoiled, lightly sander stock is in fine condition with minimal handling marks with clear, but light cartouches and proofs. The scope is also in excellent condition with 98% of the blued finish overall with clear optics.
