McDonald as private first class on page 176 and is signed by McDonald in pencil on the back cover.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 70% original brushed military style blue finish remains with areas of edge wear, surface scratches, handling marks overall, and a mottled gray/brown patina on the grip straps. Grips are also fine with well-defined checkering and several dings and bruises. Mechanically excellent. Web belt is fine with some staining and oxidation on the brass grommets. Canteen and cover are fine with some tearing around the closure snaps. Holster is fine with small scuffs and dings and overall solid construction.
