Manufactured in 1942. Blade front and adjustable rear sights, with the two-line address and patent markings on the left side of the slide, the Service Model Ace nomenclature on the right, a "G.H.D." inspected frame, short milled trigger, checkered wide hammer, checkered thumb safety and mainspring housing, fully checkered grips, a Service Ace full blue magazine, and an unmarked floating chamber barrel.

Fine as assembled (replaced slide assembly). The frame retains about 60% plus original blue finish, with wear along the high edges, some graying of the parkerized slide, finish, a number of dings and scratches on the frame, a gray/brown patina concentrated on the grip straps, and takedown lines. The varnished grips are very good, with tool marks on the screws, dents and cracks. Mechanically excellent.
