Standard fixed blade and notch sights with standard markings on the barrel and frame. Matching assembly numbers "39" on the latch, frame, and crane with a smooth nitre blue trigger, and checkered hammer. The butt is factory marked with the serial number, Navy property number "N248"(listed in factory letter specific to this revolver), and a trident Naval inspection mark.

Fine. 70% plus original polished blue finish remains with areas of edge wear, some oxidation, scratches and dings, and a brown patina mostly on the grip straps. Grips are fair with a section absent at the toe of the left panel, and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent.
