Manufactured in 1977. According to the chart on page 415 of "The Browning Superposed: John M. Browning's Last Legacy" by Ned Schwing, only 85 total Presentation Grade 3 20 gauge shotguns were manufactured between 1977 and 1984. Single bead sight on the matte rib, standard barrel markings and Belgian commercial proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and full/modified chokes. Finely engraved receiver with gold wire inlaid borders and highly detailed bird scenes of pheasants on the right, partridge on the left, and a quail on the underside. Each bird is rendered in fine gold inlay. The balance features fine leafy scroll, and an initial shield on the trigger guard. The side scenes are signed "J. Lewanczvk". Multi-point checkered forearm and straight grip stock with Browning plastic buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .620/.620 inch; minimum wall thickness .030/.030 inch; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches. With original box.

Near new with 99% original blue finish with some light handling marks overall. The wood is also excellent with crisp checkering and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Box is fair with corner and edge wear, old tape, and some discoloration.
