This exceptional, attractive Browning Superposed features a single brass bead sight, 2 1/2 inch chambers, ejectors and skeet chokes. The barrels have standard markings and Belgian proofs. The blue finished action features false side plates, with crisp detailed game bird and dog scenes with attractive contrasting precious metal inlays. The scenes depict grouse and quail with hunting dogs in fields. The trigger guard, tangs, breaking lever, and forearm fittings are similarly engraved with a multi gold Brittany Spaniel and wood duck on lower receiver. The trigger plate is signed "CAPECE", just to the right of the trigger. Mounted on an exhibition quality, highly figured Turkish walnut floral sculptured checkered forearm and stock, with tear drop flats, and a checkered bare butt with gold inlaid screws, done by Browning Masters Robert Stock & Raymond Sterck. The stock measurements are: drop at comb 1 1/2 inch; drop at heel 2 inches, length of pull 14 1/4 inches. Includes a Browning takedown case and original boxes.

Exceptionally fine as master engraved, gold inlaid, and stocked. Nearly all of the original blue finish remains on the barrels. Wood fits tight to the metal. The engraving is very sharp. The wood has no dings and no visible gaps around frame and side plates. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with handling and storage wear.
