The accompanying factory letter states that this "revolver was an early production sample with low serial number kept by the Colt factory." The letter confirms the revolver as a DS-II Model SD1030 with 3 inch barrel in .38 Special, stainless steel finish, rubber grips, and blue plastic case. It was released from the factory in 2008. Comes with the orange warning hanging tag. The case is numbered to the gun. Very few DS-II revolvers were manufactured with a 3 inch barrel.

Near new overall, showing faint traces of a cylinder drag line, otherwise only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
