Per the consignor, this rifle was built by Lone Star Rifle Co. of Conroe, Texas. The bottom of the barrel is marked "W.D. BALLENGER LAKELAND FL. 1998" and has a windgauge globe front sight, ornate banded transition to octagon, and "444 MARLIN" on top near the breech. The upper tang is equipped with a Vernier peep sight. The stock and forearm are fancy grade hardwood with attractive flame figure and smooth oiled finish. Also includes a box with .444 Marlin cases, Lyman die set, and additional front sight inserts.

Very fine overall with only light handling and storage type marks and a slight gap between the rear of the forearm and front of the action. Mechanically excellent.
