Manufactured between 1955 and 1962, and later nickel plated. Blade and notch sights, with "WHITNEY" across the left side of the alloy frame, the New Haven address on the right, a smooth spur hammer, 10-round magazine with a smooth nickel base and checkered white plastic grips. With a with original Whitney picture box and papers.

Very fine as plated with some light pitting on the right side of the slide under the nickel, incorrect colored hammer and trigger, and some small nicks and dings. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering and some small dings. Mechanically needs adjustment as the hammer will not always hold in the cocked position and the left side plate doesn't sit quite flush with the frame. Box is fine with corner and edge wear and storage marks.
