Manufactured late in World War II. This features many of the wartime expedient features common for 98K rifles near the war's end such as stamped and brazed barrel bands, and gray phosphate finish. Blade front and tangent rear sights with standard "eagle" firing proofs on the barrel and receiver, "eagle/13" stamp on the barrel, "eagle/749" stamp at the top edge of the receiver, "bcd" production code, and "4" datecode. All visible numbers are matching. Laminated pistol grip stock with an "eagle/H" stamp on the right side, and cupped steel buttplate.

Excellent. 97% plus original late-war gray phosphate finish remains with some edge wear, handling marks overall, small scratches, and some light spotting. Stock is also excellent with sharp "eagle/H" Nazi proof, some scattered storage dings mostly visible on right side, and spotting on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
