Manufactured by FN Herstal of Belgium under military contract from the nation of Venezuela. There were a total of approximately 8,000 of these Venezuelan contract rifles produced in two orders. The top of the receiver is stamped with the "Venezuelan Crest", and the right side of the receiver is marked" "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D' ARMES DE GUERRE_HERSTAL BELGIQUE" followed by serial number, "5267," which is also stamped on the action cover. The left side of the receiver ring has the correct Belgian factory proofs. With a walnut pistol grip stock with a two-piece top handguard. The buttstock has two cartouches: a small circular cartouche is stamped in front of the trigger guard that has the intertwined letters "LR" inside and a second larger circular cartouche on the right side of the buttstock that is marked "FUERZAS ARMADAS VENEZUELA". It retains its original six-slotted flash hider and a ten-shot box magazine. This rifle is consecutively serial numbered to the next lot.

Excellent plus, as issued. 99% original black anodized finish remains with only light handling marks. The stock is also excellent plus with crisp cartouches and a few scattered small dings. Mechanically excellent.
