Manufactured circa 1930, according to the Winchester Arms Collector's Association. The rifle has the Model 62 style checkered steel shotgun buttplate (it is not unusual for the late Model 90's to be made from "hybrid" of parts). It is equipped with dovetailed Westsite beaded blade front, elevation adjustable rear and Lyman folding tang peep sights. The upper left barrel flat has the two-line address/patent dates marking followed by "-MODEL 90.-.22 W.R.F." A Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. Mounted on a 12-groove round forearm and smooth straight grip stock.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original blue finish with showing loss from cycling wear and some minor scratches. The wood is fine with a small missing sliver near the upper tang, some minor handling marks and most of the finish remaining. Mechanically excellent. An unusual late production Winchester Model 90 slide action rifle.
