Manufactured in 1936 and subsequently sent back to the Remington Illion plant in 1938 based on the "AG3" Remington rework/date code on the flats. Dual bead sights on the matte concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL," 2 3/4 inch chambers, ejectors, and "SKEET IN/SKEET OUT" marked chokes. Light scroll and bird scene engraving on the receiver with a single selective trigger and tang mounted automatic safety. Checkered beavertail forearm and desirable straight grip stock with checkered wood butt and engraved fittings, silver initial shield inscribed "HBS", and checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .733/.739 inch; minimum wall thickness .023/.020 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 5/8 inches; length of pull 14 inches.

Fine. The barrels have 90% of the period, likely factory refinished blue with bright forearm marks, surface scratches, and sharp markings. The receiver has a mostly smooth gray patina with 25% original case colors in the protected areas with sharp engraving and some light spotting. The highly figured wood is also fine with some rounded edges, well defined checkering, a thin crack in the right side of the wrist, numerous dings, and scratches throughout. Mechanically excellent.
