One of the rarest of the Winchester commemoratives, 1 of only 32. Thirty-two of them were made as pre-production units for the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They were made to resemble as closely as possible the Winchester Carbines that had been purchased by the Mounties in the late 1800s. These were Model 1876s, and the Model 1894 was as close as they could get. The only unusual marking on this gun is the "M.P." on the right side of the stock near the butt. They did not resemble the later MP and the RCMP commemoratives as those were finished in gold with medallions in the stock. Some of these were used in "Distant Thunder", a movie made to commemorate the anniversary.

Excellent, retains 99% original finish with a few light handling marks, a very small patch of rust on the barrel, and a moderate dark marker/paint line on the right of the receiver. The stock is very fine with some light-minor dings, scratches and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
